Troon

Troon is a small sea-side town (like many others in Scotland) it is known for many reasons such as it's sea port, the golf course and its sea-side view. Much like Ayr its a popular place for day trips to the sea-side.

The Royal Troon Golf Course is home to the Open Championship,one of the biggest golf tourniments of the PGA tourniment it opened 147 years ago and was designed by George Strath.It is a links golf course in. The club originally only consisted of five holes whereas today, it has increased to a total of 45 holes

Boasting spectacular views across to the Isle of Arran, Troon Beach is a popular spot for holidaymakers. The beach itself is easy to access and the lively esplanade offers ice creams and fish and chips. Troon Yacht Haven is in close proximity which has excellent facilities for visiting yachtsmen.There’s a well-equipped play park for children, and lots of good local shops and some excellent restaurants.
